Four Special Working Groups were formed by SEI in2008 with membership from SEI’s Energy Agreements programme. A significant portfolio of energy saving opportunities was generated in addition to new methodologies for the energy management function.

In April 2009 Gerry Shaw of HOSCA presented ‘Alternative Methodologies for Energy projects’ at the Energy Show held at the RDS, Dublin.
The Energy Management function can be integrated with 6-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen creating new opportunities otherwise overlooked or outside scope.
