ILM News |
ILM has recently announced the following good news regarding recognition of their courses through FETAC.
“ILM is working alongside a number of other awarding bodies to participate in a QCA-led pilot exploring regulatory arrangements for UK qualifications offered in Ireland. We strongly anticipate that this will remove one of the main barriers to ILM qualifications’ alignment with the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland (NFQI). At the earliest opportunity, ILM will work to align its full suite of qualifications with the NFQI.
As part of the City & Guilds Group, ILM has simultaneously been engaging at the highest levels with the Irish Regulatory Authorities (NQAI), and has held constructive discussions with the Minister of Education and also with both FETAC and HETAC.
These discussions are ongoing, as we continue to work to overcome the issues surrounding funding for our qualifications in Ireland. As you know, City & Guilds Group, including ILM, makes a substantial and valued contribution to enhancing skills and prosperity in Ireland and we are fully committed to finding a resolution to the current funding and alignment situations.”
